Comprised of two units, a tracer and patternless edger with integrated blocker, Sigma SP is a simple and compact finishing system. It employs 3-D processing technology, traditional blocking functions, and a user friendly interface.
Sigma SP not only includes a unique feature set but is offered at an affordable price, making Sigma SP the best value in finishing systems on the market today. As a result, Sigma SP is ideal for first-time users integrating finishing equipment into their practices.

Trace
Using advanced tracing software, Sigma captures 3,200 data points
( A and B, as well as frame curve and elevation) for accurate 3-dimensional shapes. This measurement combination yields highly accurate sizing, decreases breakage, and increases finish quality. Sigma can trace both patterns and demo lenses for rimless style frames by mounting them on a simple fixture. The tracer sequentially traces both eyewires and measures frame DBL during the trace cycle.
Block
An integrated digital blocking system provides a centralized operation for accurately blocking lenses. Its low profile adds to the overall small footprint, saving on valuable workspace. Computer-generated, lens-specific layout alignment targets help simplify the blocking process and a unique color reversal funtion makes it possible to visualize characteristics of difficult lenses.
Edge
Sigma SP includes an essential lens mapping mechanism. Prior to roughing, Sigma SP maps the lens then checks lens thickness and curve while ensuring cut out. Sigma SP uses a special program for checking executive lenses to ensure a perfect fit. After lens mapping, if the operator places a bevel or groove in the customized mode, then Sigma displays a graphic representation of the finished bevel or groove, allowing the operator to view the relationship between the calculated bevel or groove and the front or back edge of the lens.
Sigma edges all materials-glass, CR39, high-index and polycarbonate. Operators can preset the toolbar for the polishing option and finish types. The polishing option is available for only plastic and polycarbonate lenses. Operators can activate this option by pressing a key.

Four bevel options allow the user to choose either an automatic or customized bevel. With the automatic bevel selection, Sigma calculates optimal bevel placement from the furnished 3-D data, ensuring the best possible lens-to-frame fit. More difficult or specialty lenses can be controlled using the customized bevel options. Choices include: adjustable front curve, 33% or 50% or flat curve.
NEW, patented soft pin beveling accommodates all lens sizes including small diameter lenses down to 24 millimeters. The soft pin beveling eliminates the need for any manual pin beveling, reducing lens handling and decreasing the potential for spoilage or breakage. With this new feature, control, consistency, and quality are unparalleled.

New , grooving capability. Sigma's unique grooving design and computer control precisely locates grooves, even on very thin lenses. Plus operators have a choice of setting groove width and depth in 0.05 mm increments.
Automatic maintenance functions-wheel cleaning, self-calibration, and a statistics and technical log-enable the operator to solve certain problems without technical assistance.

Sigma's simple user interface features a customized toolbar, intuitive icons, and color LCD screen for effortless operations. Its large vertical keypad allows operators to easily monitor various edging stages, even at a distance
